Alkyl ketene dimer, described as AKD, is a responsive neutral sizing representative for papermaking. AKD was industrialized in 1956 as well as was only utilized in special documents calling for hefty sizing.
Over the last few years, social paper has basically been altered to AKD neutral sizing, which has more application areas.
