Beta-alanine, also known as 3-aminopropionic acid, is an organic compound with a molecular formula of C3H7NO2, a colorless crystal. Melting point: 198℃ (decomposition), soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether. Beta-alanine produced by biological methods has a sour taste.
Beta-Alanine Powder is used in the synthesis, electroplating, microbiology and biochemical research of pantothenic acid. It can be hydrolyzed and purified from sericin, gelatin, zein and other proteins and synthesized by chemical methods.
