Propylene chloride, also known as allyl chloride, is a raw material for organic synthesis. According to the position of chlorine in the molecular structure, it can be divided into three types: 1-chloropropene, 2-chloropropene, and 3-chloropropene.

The physical properties of chloropropene are: colorless and flammable liquid, corrosive and pungent smell, slightly soluble in water, miscible with ethanol, chloroform, ether and petroleum ether.

However, the stability of chloropropene is poor, and it is easy to absorb water and deteriorate during storage and transportation, and decompose hydrogen chloride, which not only reduces its purity, but also turns yellow and color, which affects its use.
